About

The decision to start therapy can often be difficult and bring up lots of complicated feelings. I am a compassionate and caring therapist who is grateful for the privilege to walk alongside my clients through life’s challenges. My greatest goal in therapy is to create an environment where my clients feel safe, heard, and accepted.

In my practice, I work with children, adolescents, and young adults and use a person-centered therapy perspective. I am very creative and enjoy helping clients express themselves in additional ways besides traditional talk therapy. Some techniques I may integrate in your therapy session include art, movement, sand tray, and mindfulness interventions.

My specialty is children and I practice child-centered play therapy with children ages two and up. Through play therapy, children are able to build confidence, self-control, self-acceptance, and coping skills. I love watching children heal through play and find it a joy to be a part of their journey. As a parent of three young children, I understand the challenges that come with being a parent and offer caregivers an empathetic and judgment-free space to improve their ability to parent and support their child.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers
